Board of Director meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30 pm in the High School Commons, unless a quorum is not achieved.
 
 

Mark Alpert, Board President

Mark Alpert is President of Integrated Delivery Solutions.The firm's works on major infrastructure projects in the United States with a focus on business strategy and management, project financing and new business acquisition with engineering and construction firms. In 2014, after a 40+ year career, Mark retired as a Senior Vice President with CH2M HILL’s Water Business where he had responsibilities for its Design Build unit operating throughout North America.

 
 

Jeffrey V. Berg

Since 1992, Jeffrey V. Berg has been a a Professor in the Mathematics Department at Arapahoe Community College where, in addition to teaching mathematics to many students, he served a five-year term as Department Chair and a two-year term as Assistant Dean for Mathematics, Science and Engineering and on various academic and administrative committees.  Prior to his faculty appointment, he worked as an engineer applying analytical mechanics and structural dynamics on various systems for 7 years beginning in 1984.  He has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics – Engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver.  He is active and has held numerous governance positions in professional associations. He and his wife, Carol Carson, have two daughters. 

 

 
Rudy Lukez
 

Rudy Lukez

Rudy Lukez is currently a director of product technology marketing for Oracle Corporation’s cloud applications corporate organization based in Redwood Shores, California. He has also held other product leadership positions at Oracle for SMB marketing and the JD Edwards ERP product line spanning eleven years; supporting emerging technologies and their stories for internet and cloud-based products across business software applications; system infrastructures and new computer trends involving IoT, mobility; and social media and analytics.

 
Roy Martinez
 

Roy Martinez

Roy Martinez is experienced as a board member for non-profits, particularly when it involves education. Roy is passionate about finding ways to remove obstacles that reduce educational opportunities. Mr. Martinez is a Managing Director of Cimarron Equity Partners, an independent private equity sponsor. Roy is responsible for business development and oversees the Company's day-to-day operations in Colorado and overall strategic direction. Roy is also involved in business valuations, buyer representation in acquisitions and private equity placements.

 
Tracy Scroggins

Tracy Scroggins

Tracy T. Scroggins brings 29 years combined experience with The Boeing Company and United Launch Alliance as she began working for The Boeing Company in 1987 upon graduation from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (IE). She spent many years in traditional IE roles including IE management responsibility, supporting the greenfield start-up of the Delta IV (Rocket) Focused Factory in Decatur, Alabama.
Nicole Smith

Nicole Smith

Nicole Smith is the Director of Private Sector Initiatives for LiveWell Colorado where she creates mission-oriented partnership and business opportunities that meaningfully contribute to financial growth and organizational sustainability. Nicole has experience growing and leading businesses in the financial, high-tech, healthcare and education industries.
Thomas Wendling 

Thomas Wendling

Tom and his wife Claribel, residents of Highlands Ranch since 2005, have two students attending STEM School Highlands Ranch. Tom is a systems engineer and cost analyst at CH2M. He holds a B.S. in Physics from Virginia Commonwealth University, M.S. in Systems Engineering, Masters of Business Administration from Virginia Tech, and a Master’s degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He currently serves on the board of advisors of the Integrated Engineering Blockchain Consortium, an organization that fosters engineering applications of distributed ledger technology. He has also served on the program committee of the Enterprise Risk Management Symposium, which provides thought leadership and best practices in risk management for the insurance industry. 
Adam Roderick

Adam Roderick

Adam Roderick believes in the mission of STEM School Highlands Ranch to help prepare his five daughters to excel in the world. Adam is a partner at HotQuant, which provides solutions for building and operating data management systems. Adam's responsibilities include executive leadership, product strategy, and solution delivery. Previous roles include CEO of a Denver-based software development firm and various roles in creating enterprise and commercial software.
