Kevin, the son of illiterate parents, grew up in extreme poverty in Hong Kong. Through hard work and determination, he earned an MBA and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado. He and his family have lived in Douglas County for 35 years, where he is a successful small business owner. In 2019, he received the Colorado Governor's Minority Business Award. Kevin is a senior Information Technology (IT) professional. He previously served as an IT manager at Jeppesen, a Boeing company, and had worked as an Affiliate Faculty Member at Regis University.
 
Kevin was honored with the 2020 Colorado Association of School Boards McGuffey Award. His community service includes but is not limited to:
  • Board Director for South Metro Fire Rescue (District 6)
  • Commissioner for the Castle Pines Urban Renewal Authority
  • Director of the Douglas County School Board (2018-2021)
  • Former member of the Colorado State Advisory Council for Parent Involvement in Education
  • Former member of the Douglas County School District’s District and School Accountability Committees
  • Former Chair of the Parker Authority for Reinvestment Advisory Committee
