Two classes of 30 each / Total = 60 / will work with Aerospace Subject Matter Experts for an entire week. 7:50 - 2:50 pm. Thursday afternoon/evening will be a pizza party and extended work sessions. Grades 8-11 will be invited. Lockheed Martin and the Space Foundation would like to provide an amazing opportunity to the STEM Academy Seniors! Lockheed has asked the Space Foundation to provide an opportunity for a week-long class immersion this fall/winter with Space Foundation’s education team. It's called 'Jr. Space Entrepreneur Program.' It’s a bit like a Space STEM Entrepreneurial Challenge, and Lockheed Martin would likely provide an internship opportunity to seniors. Here is a quick blurb on the program:The Jr. Space Entrepreneurship Program (JSEP) will better prepare today’s youth to secure STEM positions within the aerospace industry by providing an immersive educational experience. JSEP places students in scenarios that teach and connect critical 21st Century skills to real-world work environments. Participants will embark on a complete Mars mission encompassing all the challenges that come with sending astronauts to our neighboring planet and returning them safely to the Earth. Versions of this program will be leveled to accommodate various skill levels of the participants.
