Our STEM Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is in the middle of the STEMGives campaign that funds our teachers’ wish lists for classroom instructional materials. This fund supports the vision of our faculty to go far, far beyond what is possible with the funding provided to our school.
In last week’s newsletter, I wrote about how and why we are one of the lowest funded school district and schools in the United States. Click here to read last week’s message.
The goal is $75,000 and only $12,000 has been raised thus far. Let’s work together to meet this goal. To the few families that have given, please accept my profound thank you!
As a school community, we need to become a giving culture to remain competitive and that will require all of us stepping up. My husband and I agreed to lead the way with a $5,000 matching grant. Please consider one-upping us by leveraging your gift. If 100% of our families participate, we can then call ourselves a true giving culture. Every $1 counts and goes a long way.
You can set up a one-time or monthly donation with your credit or debit card, or set it up through your checking account. This campaign is open to anyone who would like to support our #STEMStrong teachers and staff. There is also the opportunity for corporate matching. To find out more information about that, please email DonateSTEMPTO@gmail.com.
Our faculty looks forward to the PTO funding cycle to bring magic to the classroom. These materials support the lessons and resources that our students excitedly share with their families and friends. You can read all about what was done with the money that was raised last year by clicking here.
Please consider giving so that our students can truly maximize their potential through our problem-based learning instructional model.
