Hola familias de STEM,
Mi nombre es Cynthia Hurtado and this will be my first year at STEM! I am excited to embark on my 11th year of teaching with your middle school children as they acquire the Spanish Language.
I am originally from Mexico City. My family moved to the United States when I was eight years old and I am very lucky to call Colorado my home. I graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver and started my teaching career as a homeroom teacher in Aurora Public Schools. After three years I decided to get an endorsement in Spanish and I taught Spanish for five years in Douglas County. I am grateful to STEM School for giving me the opportunity to share the Spanish language with my students once again!
Throughout my teaching career, one of my passions has always been using technology in the classroom and figuring out educational ways to integrate it into every lesson. I love that Technology has the potential to give every student a voice by offering a digital platform to collaborate and to learn. I earned my Technology K-12 endorsement from the Colorado Department of Education and I have two years of teaching experience in the tech field . My goal is to motivate students to engage in deeper learning, help them become agents of their own learning and to inspire them to lead in this digital age. Some of my goals are for my students to build a strong community, collaborate with one other and ultimately become global citizens! I am excited for this upcoming school year and I look forward to working and learning with your child! Feel free to contact me via email at: email@example.com
