I am very excited about taking on the new role of Assistant Director Student Experience for students in grades 6-12.
In this position, I will oversee the student climate and culture at STEM. It will be my job to get to know all of you and be involved in all of the values and traditions of our school, activities and parent concerns. I will also be overseeing our enrichment program, athletics and many of the wonderful events and happenings at STEM.
I love serving the students, teachers and families here at STEM School Highlands Ranch, and helping to make the STEM mission to never stop innovating come to life in all aspects of life every day.
Please feel free to reach out to me with questions, stop by to meet me, introduce yourself and lets all work together for another unforgettable year at STEM School Highlands Ranch.
Here is a bit more about me:
I grew up in Centennial and went to college at the University of Northern Colorado. I moved with my husband to Seattle after graduation and worked for two years in sales and marketing. I decided to return to education and have worked as a teacher and administrator in the years since. My teaching experience includes teaching high school social studies at Eagle Academy, 6th grade math, science, social studies, language arts and physical education at West Seattle Middle School, and high school social studies at Highlands Ranch High School. My administrative experience includes my time as the Dean of students at Highlands Ranch High School and the Assistant Principal at Englewood Middle School. I bring my experience in education, love of learning, and passion for helping students, teachers and families grow as they navigate the education system and student’s journeys to find their strengths and interests.
When I am away from STEM School Highlands Ranch, I am a devoted wife and overjoyed mother of two beautiful, active, hilarious boys. I enjoy reading, live music, photography and spending time with family and friends.
