About Me

Welcome to the STEM School Highlands Ranch

This is my third year at STEM teaching mathematics. I graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering and have worked through much of the west and southwest as a traffic engineer, roadway designer and transportation planner. I’ve even been on construction sites as a project manager and inspector! It was very rewarding to be a part of so many projects that improve safety for people on the roads and seeing the impact of the work for the communities we were in.

My husband and I returned to Colorado in 2013 with our daughter to be closer to family. My daughter is starting first grade this year and we have a dog named Sandy-boo.

In my spare time I am showing my daughter how to ride a bike, grow and maintain a vegetable garden, and I love to cook with the things we grow!

I love teaching at STEM and enjoy math and engineering and problem solving. I am excited to share the critical thinking skills and project-based ideas I’ve learned over my 13-year span in engineering with my students this year!
