About Me

Welcome! I am thrilled and honored to be a part of the STEM Highlands Ranch community! I am originally from Pennsylvania where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Masters in the Arts of Teaching at University of Pittsburgh. I then moved to the Northern Virginia and taught grades kindergarten through third grade in Prince William County. I followed my dream of moving to Colorado and have been here for two years, loving it more each day! This will be my ninth year teaching elementary and I could not be more grateful to be a part of such an exciting and invigorating school community, such as STEM!

I am passionate about creating a safe and fun learning community for students and providing them with the opportunity to grow and learn together. I love watching children make connections and become empowered in their own learning and development. One of my favorite quotes is "Teach me and I'll forget, show me and I'll remember, involve me, and I'll learn." (Quote from Marla Jones)

When I am not in the classroom, I am pursuing my other passions such as teaching yoga, hiking and exploring this beautiful state. Looking forward to working together to make this a great year!
