Welcome to 3rd grade!!
My name is Alyssa Richter and I love being a STEM Spartan! More importantly, I am thrilled about the opportunity to get to know you and I am looking forward to a full year of learning and new adventures.
I grew up in Minnesota where I enjoyed spending time at my family's lake cabin. After graduating from high school, I decided to move West to attend Colorado State University. GO RAMS! I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies. After CSU, I attended the University of Northern Colorado to obtain my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have an older sister who lives in San Francisco, an older brother who lives here in Denver, and two pups that I enjoy taking out on Colorado's trails. I have a passion for health and fitness and I enjoy sharing the importance of both with my students. In my spare time you can find me doing anything in the outdoors! I love to hike and run the trails, camp, ski, and be out on the water. I have hiked multiple fourteeners and continue to check more off my list. I have also ran quite a few half marathons, marathons, and will be running my first 50k during this school year!
I believe that all students can achieve their maximum potential with assistance from the teacher and parents. Working together, we can ensure that your child will have a positive year. It is important to remember that your child plays the largest role in their learning; if they come to school with a positive attitude, ready to learn and willing to ask questions, they will reap the benefits.
