About Me

Hi!  Welcome to my website!  Thanks for visiting!
I am a Texas Native, but I have lived in Highlands Ranch for 14 years.  I have an amazing husband and two awesome sons.  I love the mountains, the 4 seasons, and all of the outdoor opportunities that living in Colorado provides.  In my free time I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and reading for fun or to learn something new.
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters Degree in Teaching from the University of Northern Colorado.  Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a Software Consultant with Deloitte Consulting and as a Project Manager at a small start up software company in Austin.  I was also lucky to be a stay-at-home mom when my sons were younger.
I have a passion for teaching and strive each day to bring out the best in every one of my students. I integrate technology, guest speakers, interactive presentations, and hands-on learning into my lessons.  I also focus on character education and creating a classroom culture that supports risk-taking and personal growth.
Check out some of the fun things we get to do each day!

Corn Starch Needed

What can be a solid and a liquid at the same time?  Oobleck!  We're going to experiment with this cool creation on Friday, September 28.  To be successful, we need 2 cans of corn starch per student.  Please pick up 2 cans of corn starch and send it in to school by Friday, September 28.
