About Me

Welcome to the STEM School Highlands Ranch.

My name is Bob Ardalan, but in school I am "Mr. Bob".  I am genuinely stoked to be teaching Math at STEM School Highlands Ranch. The work that we put into our math skills will pay off many times over in school/work for the rest of our lives. I believe that learning math should be like putting together a puzzle, i.e. challenging, satisfying, but not stressful.

I was born and raised in Indiana. I earned my Bachelors degree from Caltech and my Masters degree from the London School of Economics. In my previous career, I was a Database Architect/Developer and a Technical Trainer. I worked at Lockheed Martin, United Launch Alliance, Healthgrades, NMSS, CoBank, Starz, and a few others. My passion hobby is Nikon DSLR photography. I have recently had two paid photography gigs, and I just bought my first studio lighting setup.

My wife is a Science teacher in Littleton Public School District, and we have three children. My daughters are here at STEM in 3rd Grade and Kindergarten, and my son was just born a few months ago. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 6-8 chickens, and 30-50 quail.

I believe that teaching at STEM is like winning the teaching-lottery. This year, I am teaching Trig/Pre-Calc and Geometry in the High School and Pre-Algebra in the Middle School. I look forward to working with you.
