My name is Jack LaCarrubba and I teach Physics and Earth Science at the STEM School. I grew up in New Jersey, but moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder. I studied Physics, but specifically focused on science education during my time there, getting lots of experience teaching at both the secondary and college level. My interest in science spans all of its fields, as it’s the processes of investigation and discovery that drew me in initially.
In my free time, I play a lot of music. I mostly play bass, but I’ve also spent a lot of time on the guitar and the keyboard. I also am an avid skier and hiker, and I try to get up to the mountains as much as possible. Whenever possible, I make connections between these hobbies and science.
