I have been working in the theatre for 30 years as an actor, director, and educator. I am so excited to bring my experience and passion for the theatre to STEM this year!
Prior to coming to STEM, I served as the Education Director for Vintage Theatre in Aurora, CO. Before moving to Denver, I worked professionally in Germany and Nebraska. I was the founding Artistic Director for the Little Black Box theatre company in Kaiserslautern, Germany which was created as a benefit for the Wounded Warriors and the PTSD support group, Beyond the Wire. After moving back to the US, I received my Master's degree in Directing and Arts Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. While there, I was able to work with Nebraska Shakespeare and The Rose Center for the Performing Arts. Since moving to Denver, I have had the good fortune to work with many local theatres as a director. Recently, I have created a small theatre company, Pale Fire Productions, which is taking its first production to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland this August! I am still teaching theatre classes and summer camps in the Denver area, most recently an emo-punk version of Hamlet at Littleton Town Hall Arts Center.
When I'm not making theatre, I can usually be found hanging with my three wonderful children having adventures in our beautiful state. I also enjoy training on aerial hoop and trapeze, playing the cello, knitting, reading, and traveling.
